Apologies

It took one email to take that friend back. Apologies were made and she wanted to believe it was sincere. She put the past abandonment behind wanting to believe that her friend had a change of heart. She wanted to believe that they were meant to be as close as sisters.

However, there would come a day when she realized that actions speak louder than words.
